First off, i would just like to thank everyone for all your support, your faves and your comments. Each and every single one matters to me, and without you I would not have driven myself to become a better fractal artist. I would also like to thank everyone for helping me reach 2000 pageviews! It seems like I just hit the 1000 mark, and here i am, my audience doubled in like 6 weeks, where it took 6 months for that first 1000.

And now, for some promotion for some of my favorite things here on DA:

:pointr: =f--l--A--r--k Is hosting a Weekly Apophysis Challenge for all Apophysis users, of any skill level. Its a great way to showcase your works to a broad audience(there were like 15+ entries last week, and we are getting more each week). It is also a great way to open yourself to branching out from your comfort zone, with focus on specific variations, limited transforms, or whole new techniques altogether.

:pointr: Second, I would like to make some links to my favorite tutorials. These are the ones that have helped me the most in becoming a better Apophysis user, and I want everyone else to have access to them as well, all in one convenient location.

`ClaireJones's Julia Uncovered v2.2 is a great intermediate resource to help learn many things about the Julian variation, how it works in a fractal, the variables associated with it, and the Grand Julian, and is aimed at users familiar with the windows and terminology of Apophysis. She also has an advanced tutorial on Rings2 and Julian, a difficult technique to master, but one that can produce beautiful results. Neither require the use of the 3d Hack or Apo 7x.

=Fiery-Fire has several intermediate tutorials involving several different styles of fractal, my personal favorite being Sphericals and Tiles. While these are aimed at intermediate users, she also has a tutorial for the absolute beginner. Most of these tutorials can be used without the 3D Hack or Apo7x.

Finally, =Xyrus02 has released many resources like plugins and Apophysis programs for our use, such as Apophysis 7x, and a pre-beta version of Metaphysis, the multi-layer fractal flame renderer based on Apophysis. Think of the layering goodness of UltraFractal but with Apophysis flames and for free! More information about it is in his journal, which I linked just prior, as well as a complete list of his plugins.

Good luck everyone with your endeavors, hope this is helpful! I'll look forward to seeing you about here on DA!

The cure for boredom is curiousity. There is no cure for curiosity.

you're very welcome, and merry Christmas to you as well!

When life gives you lemons, make apple juice. Then, sit back and watch while everyone tries to figure out how you did it.

Revenge is a dish best served cold, and revenge is sweet. Does that mean that revenge is actually ice cream?

Thanks :)
